Reyes boasts a successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer in various dance companies including the Portuguese National Ballet, Gulbenkian Ballet, Tanz Forum and Dance Exchange. She was also artistic director for Still Moves, Perth and Contrapuntos, Madrid.
Reyes was selected to represent Spain at the American Dance Festival as an international choreographer. She is the recipient of the West Australian Dance Award for outstanding achievement in teaching and was a finalist for the national award.
Reyes recently retired from WAAPA after 24 years of service, where she established the contemporary dance program in 1982. Reyeas can proudly claim that her students are performing in companies (too many to mention) all over the world. She also taught the theatre department- among her students were Hugh Jackman and Marcus Graham.
Her passion is teaching and making sure her students understand their bodies as well as the material to be executed.
